| HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! YAY!
So it is only 2 A.M... several more hours of birthday-ing to go! But let me just say... it has been the oddest birthday eve ever. Never in a million years would I have pictured myself where I was... with the people I was with... doing the job I'm doing. I mean... it really is crazy to me.
I went and saw "Good Night and Good Luck" with Kevin (a reporter from the station). Good movie... but once again... even as an intern I never pictured him as a friend one day. Then... we went back to the station... met up with everyone else... and went out to Applebees. Three Asbury grads sitting around... having a drink... with reporters, producers, anchors (DIA... that was weird)... and interns. I looked at Derek and said... did you ever think a year ago... this would be our life. NO WAY! But it's good.
Ryan Lemond... our wonderful sports guy... gave me the worst toast... he owes me a new one. And Dia was there with her NFL boyfriend. Random combination... but yet... surprisingly... fun!
Well... Im off to bed... exhausted... and have to wake up to go to pottery with Becky.

| Well... everyone I know is heading home to be with their families today. I'm stuck in Lexington... WORKING. It's on days like this I wish I was an elementary ed major. Three years ago I missed Thanksgiving because I won a trip to Cancun... I was with a lot of friends... but I remember thinking that it was SUCH a hard day without my fam. Part of me is NOT excited for tomorrow. I actually wish it were already next Monday.
I'm going to the Byron's house around noon. It will be great to spend the day with them and hang out with Mow Mow! Then I'm going to work for four hours... bang out my topicals... and go to Chris and Heather's. That should be fun. Kevin, Kathleen, Bern and her boyfriend Matt will all be there. All right... I need to get ready for the day! I wish I were getting ready to drive to Omaha!

And one for my Sarie... she got engaged last Thursday. I was sitting in my office and just started to cry when she told me! It had just happened... in Chicago! Sarie... I love you and am SO excited for yoU!
